Decoating and Structuring of Layers
The laser process developed by cericom also facilitates the removal and structuring of glass coatings. Depending on the coating and the desired quality of the exposed glass surface you can select various laser processes from us.
The following table gives you an overview of the many options.
Whether you want to decorate a bathroom mirror or structure technical coatings such as an ITO layer - the laser technology from cericom offers you the highest process control and a large variety of options.
LASER edge stripping
Use the non-contact LASER technology to strip glass without scratches and be visually perfect. For edge deletion as well as the stripping of attaching areas of point holders for subsequent printing and gluing.
The bonding quality of stripped glass was successfully tested by Dow Corning for the silicones DC 3363 and DC 993.
We’ll be glad to test your material as well.
LASER structure for improves mobile reception
Wireless communication and transmission of data plays an important role today and in the future. In buildings, trains and vehicles, however, mobile phone reception is often very weak or impossible. This is due to the fact that windows and gIass facades today are generally coated with low-e or sun protection layers, which serve to save energy but block or greatly weaken mobile phone reception. This is caused by the electrical conductivity of the energy saving layers. Although these allow short-wave light to pass through, they are impermeable to long-wave mobile radio radiation due to the Faraday effect.
If a fine and hardly visible line network is introduced into the energy saving coating with the LASER, it also becomes permeable to mobile radio frequencies without the energy-saving function being significantly reduced.
LASER structuring and ablation of thin coatings
LASER structuring and the ablation of thin layers offer fascinating possibilities. The structures can be applied with the LASER in a chrome layer as well as in transparent coatings such as low-e, sun protection, ITO and TCO layers.
